Marianas Trench: Unknown Band

Marianas Trench: Unknown Band Marianas Trench. Most people know it as the deepest known spot in the world, but it is also a band from Vancouver in Canada consisting of Josh Ramsay (guitar and lead vocals), Ian Casselman (drums and vocals), Matt Webb (guitar and vocals) and Michael Ayley (bass and vocals). The crazy guys with outgoing personalities (evident from various Youtube videos) certainly make an impression on their fans.

All of the band members being singers has its perks, as the band has the skill to break into a cappella segments of harmony, which uniquely separates their music from other bands in their pop punk/rock genre.

Founder and front man of the band, Josh Ramsay has been writing and recording since his teen years. By the early 2000s, Ramsay had collected musicians from the local music scene to form the band. In early 2003 the band signed a deal with 604 records and in 2006 they released their debut album, Fix Me. The single Say Anything broke into the top three of the Canadian charts. Decided to Break It and Shaketramp were also popular, each with an interesting and somewhat humorous video to go along with them.

Two years later in 2008, the band brought out their second album entitled ’Masterpiece Theatre’. Many eager and awaiting fans jumped to get their hands on the first single released, Cross My Heart, a perfect pop punk song with catchy lyrics and fantastic dance beat. Their second single released All to Myself is another favourite off the album as well as Celebrity Status.

The Vancouver based band has many fans, but is extremely unknown to a large population of the music scene. They are currently touring Canada on their All To Myself Tour and tour dates and music can be found on the bands MySpace.

Marianas Trench puts forward some one of a kind, catchy and amazing music that is inventive, creative and unique in every possible way. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!
