My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance My Chemical Romance. Ring a bell to ya?

It's that band that is googled more than any other band, that band which kids yell 'they saved my life', or that band that came from New Jersey. The band that clicked with their world-famous album; 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge'. If you still don't know them, you're sad. Fans would tell you, 'They're the best!' or 'They can save lives!' or 'Have you been living under a rock?'
Seriously they would. But here's the 411 on My Chemical Romance.

My Chemical Romance is a 5 member band. Gerard Arthur Way (lead vocals), Mikey Way (bass), Frank Iero (guitar), Ray Toro (guitar), and Bob Bryar (drums). The band formed after the 9-11 attack. That's when Gerard decided to do something productive with his life.

Gerard called his mate Matt Pelissier and organized to form a band. It was also then that Gerard wrote his first song, 'Skylines and Turnstiles' - he said it was about the 9-11 attack. Shortly, Gerard called Ray Toro and asked him to be the guitarist of the band. The first recordings were done in Matt's attic. Mikey Way, heard and loved the demo, he decided to join the band. Mikey was also the mastermind behind the name of the band.

My Chemical Romance was signed with Eyeball Records. There, they met the lead vocalist and guitarist of Pencey Prep, Frank Iero. Sadly, Pencey Prep broke up in 2002. That's when My Chem earned a new guitarist, Frank Iero.

Three months later, the band recorded their debut album, 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love'. It was released in 2002 under Eyeball Records.

Later, My Chemical Romance signed with Reprise Records. It was in 2004, My Chem released their second album,'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge'. Within a year, the album went platinum. It was this time that, Matt Pelissier was replaced with Bob Bryar after My Chem went to Japan in July 2004.

With the height of their fame. My Chem decided to release a 2 DVD/1 CD set titled, 'Life On The Murder Scene'. One DVD shows the chronicles of My Chemical Romance; From the start, to the rise and fall of Gerard Way, Bob Bryar, Albums, Fanbase, Touring, and the Future of the band. The second DVD is filled with music videos. The Making of their videos, live performances, and their three music videos.

Then in 2006, My Chemical Romance released their third album, 'The Black Parade' After recording the songs, the band decided to make music videos and in August 3, 2006 they finished shooting,
'Welcome To The Black Parade' & 'Famous Last Words' music videos. On September 27, 2006; My Chemical Romance released their music video, 'Welcome to the Black Parade' to the public.

The album was released on October 24, 2006.

And for the rest of 2006 and 2007, My Chemical Romance toured the world being the Black Parade. It was posted that Hawaii was their last stop of the tour, but later changed as they decided to go to Phillipines and do a concert there at Taigiug. Rumor also has it that My Chemical Romance is working on a new album and it would be released in the mid-2008. People are saying that My Chem shouldn't release one, for the fact the guys need a break. And I agree. The guys need a break, they need to stop and comeback whenever they feel. The boys are working hard and long just for their fans.

Whatever happens, I still support My Chemical Romance and best wishes to them.
