Are You Dead By Sunrise?

During the making of Minutes to Midnight from Linkin Park, Chester began writing songs he declared too dark for the style of Linkin Park. So instead of changing them up and making them different, he decided instead to create another band that would be able to sing those songs without difference. Thus, Dead By Sunrise was born.

Dead By Sunrise first started touring with the main band itself, Linkin Park, through America, Japan, and Europe. DBS would come on during the middle of the concert to sing some songs ("Walking in Circles", "Morning After", and "My Suffering") and get their name a little more well known.

Recording the debut album Out of Ashes began when Linkin Park's tour ended, when Chester also began recording for the bands newest CD A Thousand Suns. Bennington began recording with producer Howard Benson and his new bandmates from Julien-K. It has been confirmed, even by Mike Shinoda, Chester's Linkin Park bandmate, that Dead By Sunrises' album was more rock than Linkin Park has been.

The release of Out of Ashes had many Linkin Park fans frantically wondering if this was the end of Linkin Park as we knew it. Chester had immersed himself in helping the album, with first making every song, which he had done on acoustic guitar, to participating in every aspect of the album, like programming and productions.

Some fans are still in states of panic wondering if, due to Dead By Sunrise, Linkin Park would lose its lead singer. I can tell you indefinitely that DBS is just a side project, so no needs for worry.

There is a possible second album, but many fans can’t help but worry about which direction Chester's music will take. On October 5th of 2010, Chester said there is a small chance of a second CD, but no one knows if and when it will be released except the band members themselves.

Many fans that disliked A Thousand Suns will probably worry about the songs Chester writes now. Due to Linkin Park's "new direction", Chester might decide that some songs closer to A Thousand Suns will be placed in the new DBS album, which will more than likely disappoint many fans that disliked Linkin Park's newest album.

Chester Bennington has a legion of dedicated fans. Are you one of them?
