Lola Black

Lola Black is a female-fronted punk/metal band from Denver, Colorado. The band is fronted by Miss Lola Black herself and also includes Crispy, Paige O, Mathew Hale, Annie Mac, and James Rock. "Lola has enough edge to make you want to smash things and is catchy enough to keep you singing after you are done breaking shit." Their debut was in August 2008 and they have since headlined all of the rock hot spots in Denver including: The Gothic Theater, Bender's,and 3 Kings Tavern.

Their debut album, Plastic Dashboard Jesus was released on November 13, 2009 and brought 700 people to The Gothic Theater. Lola has been on the cover of Colorado Music Buzz, and been featured in The Denver Post, and Westward Magazine. They have also repeatedly been guests on 106.7 KBPI with Uncle Nasty and Matt Need. Lola Black herself was also in the August 2010 Gentlemens Issue of 303 magazine.

Lola Black got its first taste of national exposure with an album review of Plastic Dashboard Jesus in Hollywood Music Magazine in 2010 and won the Westword Music Award for best "punk" band. In 2010 they were also in Channel 93.3's Hometown For The Holidays and placed in the top ten bands.
