Triumph And Parade
"A painter paints pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence".
Triumph and Parade consists of five members who are not skilled painters, but artists none-the-less. Instead of brushes, they use instruments and a unique collaboration of ideas as their own swift stroke of creativity that help separate themselves from today's typical indie-rock band. Constructing songs with captivating melodies and harmonies, along with raw, chest-pounding, guitar-driven elements, the band continuously succeeds in creating a vivid image that resonates in listeners from all genres.
After relentless practicing and performing, the band recorded their 6 song, self-released EP. It was tracked and mixed in Chicago with producer/engineer Mike Hari at I.V. Lab Studios and the famed Gravity Studios. Once the songs were mastered at Sterling Sound in New York, the first track from the EP entitled "At Least It Felt Like A Promise," was selected over hundreds of other bands to be featured on Sterling Sound's "Emerging Artist Player" on their website.
Though they are unsigned, the group has shared the stage with several national acts such as A Static Lullaby, The Receiving End of Sirens, This Providence, and The Pink Spiders. Gaining recognition from independent music news sites, Triumph and Parade are featured on The Daily Chorus' "Top 40 Unsigned Bands" section along with other accomplished unsigned bands from around the world.
Since the release of the EP, Triumph and Parade has sold more than 1,000 copies at local shows, on tours throughout the midwest, and through various online sources such as SmartPunk and iTunes. "These 6 tracks have catchiness, sincerity, truth and more energy than a 6 year old who didn't take their Ritalin".
