'Pet Sematary'- Haunted Enough for Me?

'Pet Sematary'- Haunted Enough for Me? Recently, I read the novel Pet Sematary by famous horror writer Stephen King. According to my family, the book became 'too freaky to read after that cat came back'. They stopped reading after Church was resurrected; I, however, finished the book. What did I think?

First off, I don't find that book scary at all. I may never know why I didn't feel any fear of the book, but I know that it isn't because I'm fearless (I stopped reading the third Harry Potter a few years ago because I thought Sirius was going to kill Harry). It may be the same unknown reason I felt no sadness when reading Elie Wiesel's Night- both times. The book has seemingly no freakish qualities in my opinion, but that's just my opinion.

Second, it's hard to put down. When i first got the book, I spent almost all summer reading it; I used any time I could to read. Pet Sematary is extremely interesting; from the family first moving to their home and meeting the Crandall's, to the death of Church, to the fire that devoured the Crandall home, I was mesmerized.

My family is averse to horror of any sort, so of course they will never read and/or finish the book. It's up to you to decide if you can.
My Rating: Five of five stars.
