Saint Iggy

Saint Iggy Iggy Corso's just been kicked out of high school. Of course, it wasn't his fault that teacher thought he was pulling a gun out on her, but the fact is his hearing's in a couple days, and he wants another chance to make things right. Iggy decides he wants to be a hero; he wants everyone to see him as a modern day Superman instead of that delinquent from the Projects.

But while he's coming up with his plan to reinvent himself, his friend Mo's gotten himself into a big mess. He owes sleazy drug dealer Freddie a couple grand, and needs the money fast by Christmas Eve. Iggy and Mo set out to visit Mo's mother to coax the money from her, and in the process Iggy finds himself growing close to Mo's mother, a current replacement for his own parents, one of which who'd been missing for four weeks and the other who spent his time drunk on the couch.

Saint Iggy continues on to Iggy's hearing and the confrontation between Mo, Iggy, and Freddie, all the while giving a mind-blowing image of the broken hopes of the poor and unlucky.

Iggy's simplistic and honest way of telling things makes you grow to love him. His experiences become your own and you find yourself rooting for this broken boy, this anti-hero; Saint Iggy.
