Ghostgirl (novel)-The New Twilight?

Bella and Edward. Infamous novel and movie stars. Can't see one blog or social network without some picture or something about them. Twilight has swept the nation for all ages. Today, this article will talk about, possibly, the new Twilight, Ghostgirl.

Ghostgirl is a newly released novel by Tonya Hurley. In this book, Charlotte Usher, your regular teen, outcast nerd decides to make a stand, for the man of her dreams, in her new year in Hawthorne High School.

Being scoffed by the popular preps, she feels invisible and uncared for. No friends, she reinvents herself to try and fit in. However, she is finally paired up for physics with her dream boy, (always most popular guy in school) Damen. She, on the first day with him, chokes on a gummy bear. Later to realize she is dead, entering the world of the dead.

In this book, after dying in high school many teens have had mistakes or goals they need to still strive for and resolve. Charlotte arrives in "Dead Ed" needing to finish things she has started. Hearts broken, new flames started, this book is a roller coaster...

My point here is that when reading this book, I felt it had a huge potential. Taking references from My Chemical Romance to The Cure, and of course the great and constant wars between the Goths vs. the Preps. As, I have mentioned, Twilight has swept the nations all around the world. For whatever reason, I may not exactly know, but this book has...something.

This book, has the great story plot and interesting characters with witty remarks and interesting demeanors. Each character, dead or alive, has intriguing personality, as well as the book itself. Each time the bell rang in class and I had to stop reading, I had to risk the fate of falling to keep reading. Each chapter just gets better and better. With a wonderful and ornate cover this book, I predict may sweep the nation, as the whole Twilight series did.

Ghostgirl is a series and the second book is set to release, in hardcover, on July 1, 2009.
