Too Much Information, Sarah!

Too Much Information, Sarah! Too Much Information, Sarah Quigley's first novel, is a hysterical yet saddening tale about young Becca's missteps and triumphs in over-sharing. The story takes place in the small town of Pine Prairie, Minnesota.

Becca is the fifteen year-old Over-Share Queen. She will tell anyone anything at any moment, without hesitation. Until she realizes that over-sharing might have its problems. Thus starting her blog, Too Much Information, named after her least favorite words. Too Much Information is an anonymous blog and her way of trying to ween off of over sharing.

One day when Josh Retzlaff, Becca's ex-boyfriends best friend, makes a comment hinting that he read Becca's blog. That freaks her out. When Jamie Whitake, school popular, also makes a hint that she read Becca's blog she deletes it all, except one entry begging for forgiveness and pity. But it's too late.

Secrets that were never intended to hit the spotlight are read around all of school, and town for that matter. Her efforts to conceal the secrets were not effective. It was quiet obvious who the secrets belonged to. She wrote about almost everything that had been shared with her.

Having her inner thoughts and desires out in the open creates drama. Bad drama. But maybe, just maybe, nobody will care. It's not like Becca has no over shared before, so how big a difference could a blog make?

I really enjoyed this book. It was so good I got in trouble in class for reading it. Also, I met the other the other day and she really over-shares. And she's from Minnesota, where I live. So, basically what I'm trying to say it that Sarah can really relate to her characters and I think that you can, too. If you live, or lived, in a small town or over-share too much.
