The Truth About Forever

The Truth About Forever Macy's dad died. And she saw it all. After his sudden death, Macy shuts herself away everything that could be a risk to her. She pretends everything is okay and insists everything is ‘fine’. But it's not. This moving book teaches young adults about the morals of life and what the definition of 'perfect' really is.

Macy is scared. After witnessing a huge loss in her life, she views the world differently. She tries to be perfect and attempts to forget what happened that day. Macy has carefully planned her summer. She will spend her days working at the boring library with tedious workmates and spend her nights studying for her SAT’s. Her spare time will be spent helping her mother with the opening of the townhouse section of lavish development.

But Macy’s life takes a turn when Wish catering enters her life. The crew is chaotic and takes a completely different approach to life. They are carefree, enjoying and fun. When Macy meets Wes, who is tattooed and artistic, she feels so... happy. Whenever she is around him, she feels like herself. When the two start playing a game based on the truth, Macy and Wes open up and start to trust each other. Wes likes people with flaws and isn’t interested in the ‘perfect’ girl. To Macy, he represents hope.

Throughout this book, we get to see the transformations of Macy as she is put together by one catering crew. This moving book teaches teenagers how life is a continuing series that involves beginnings and endings, losses and gains, all folding into one lifetime and one forever.
