Carney Man

Set in the dark world of the Carnival, a side we never see, Carney Man is a poignantly funny book. Written by Brian Haner, a guitarist/comedian, he throws in his wit and sarcasm to create the funny and the will to make you want to read more. It is a book that I, myself, couldn't put down until I had finished it. It's an unsuspecting surprise to find a book that will hold your attention and keep it as long as Carney Man.

Genius had ran away from home, at the tender age of fourteen, and joined the Schnell Brother's carnival. We follow him through the ups and downs as he learns the ways of being a Carnie, a world in which he seems to fit in the most. The only thing that is different about him is that he is a reader of the classic books, such as Mark Twain, The Idiot, and The Iliad.

One day he meets a boy that looks lost, his hair big and his heart even bigger. Throughout the novel you will see that the two become closer and it's not until a murder happens that everything changes. Follow the story of friendship, finding your family, and where you truly belong. Carney Man will be leaving you wanting more with a smile on your face.
