Macy has a almost perfect life. Her whole family is close, and Macy and her Dad even have a special bond. Her dad buys 'junk' from infomercials, and even gets one free product every month. Him and Macy have a tradition. They go running every morning. But after Macy's father dies, the family is devastated. Her mom is under so much pressure selling properties, and Macy forgets everything about running. Then, Macy's boyfriend, Jason, decides to take a break from their relationship. He's at Brain Camp, while Macy takes care of his job in the library with two snotty librarians.

Once WISH catering company comes around, Macy sees how hectic things can get. She makes friends with the cooks&caterers,and meets a cute guy named Wes. She tries to get ahold of her feelings, because she still is sort-of with Jason. But her bond becomes stronger with Wes. They play a game 'Truth', where they reveal deep secrets to each other. Macy says things she had never even thought of telling anyone. Macy joins WISH, and quits her job with the co-workers that make her feel worthless. Now, her mother doesn't approve of Macy's new friends, and forces Macy to stay away from the 'bad influences'. It didn't matter, because Summer was almost over, and everyone was going their ways. And Wes...he had a girlfriend to go to.
