Evermore

Evermore is about a teenage girl named Ever Bloom who has lost everything she loves the most. Her family. She and her family were in a terrible car accident and they all died, but she was left alive and well. She soon found out that she had psychic powers, being able to hear peoples thoughts and see their auras. Most people would see these powers as a gift, but Ever views them as her punishment. She hates being able to hear everyones thoughts that when she moves in with her new legal guardian, her aunt Sabine, the only way she can cope with these new powers is to hide under a hood and blast loud music, hoping to drown out everyone elses thoughts.

That was her only way to live until Damen Auguste started school. Damen was a dangerously handsome guy that Ever was instantly attracted to, even though she tried to fight it, she was drawn to him. She noticed it the first time they touched that he silenced everything and made her feel normal. She knew there was nothing normal about him, though. The way he talked, the tingles and warmth she felt whenever they were near and the fact that he was the only one who didn't have a colorful aura surrounding him. She needed to know why.

I don't want to spoil the rest, but this was a great book. I loved it. At first when I started reading it, I thought it was going to be another book just like the Twilight Saga, but it's not. In my opinion, it's better. The storyline is easy to follow, and the love story that Alyson Noël writes about it so beautiful, it really makes you feel like you're in the book, sharing all these moments with the characters.

And speaking of the characters, they're all very believable. Each one having a history, little things about them that make them unique and when you're reading it, you can easily picture what they look like and how they would sound if they were real. I love when I can put myself into the story and feel what all the characters are feeling. I would recommend this book to all different kinds of people. Anyone that enjoys a romance novel would like it, and anyone who likes books like Twilight would enjoy this book. Maybe even people who like The Hunger Games would enjoy this series, because there definitely is a dark side.

This isn't the only book, though. Evermore is only a part of The Immortal Series. As of right now there are six books. Evermore is the first and is a great read!
