Stephenie Meyer is AMAZING
I don't like all of the actors and actresses playing the parts in the movie, but I hope it will be good.
I love the fact that she wrote Twilight because of a dream she had.
I personally think it is inspiring
Hi, so great opinion, but I just wanted to add that Stephenie Meyer has never read any sort of Vampire book in her life, so she was making up her own version of a vampire.
I don't really agree or disagree with your opinion, I just really liked the books and I can't wait for the fourth one. I enjoy my cliche-ness. :)
okay her writing is good
and her plot is good too
but everyone put there own twist on their vampire stories
just beause its about a vampire doesnt mean she cant use her creativty
so by saying that the only good vampire books are the ones who make vampires out to be th bad guys and cant go out in the dark!
your stomping on the foot of creativity!
really i mean really thats stupid and if it was awful why the hell are they making it into a movie and how come the world is filled with twilight fans? huh?
ok. the book is amazing but i need to comment on the cast image.
bella looks waaaay to overdone/pretty. no. she's supposed to look natural and whatever. she didn't like makeup and crap. am i not right? just like she hated using her purse...
and it makes the vampires ugly. they are supposed to be pretty.
Personally, when I read a book, I occasionally enjoy the cliche love tales that you know will never happen. I enjoy the fiction.
Regardless, you made your points clearly in your review and while I disagree with some of them this was a well written review and it's obvious you put quite a bit of effort into it. Great job. =]
Bahaha, i'm amused. Great review, and more readable than most.
Personally, the best bit in the whole review was, "Want romance; read Byron"
Ah, amusing. It was also nice to see someone offend the majority of mibba with one article, again i'm impressed.
In terms of the book itself, i thought it was like the vampire-romance version of a Dan Brown novel; written for the lowest common denominator. I read it, yes, and yes i was amused for a couple of days while i was reading it. Did Twilight break any new ground in literature, was it original, captivating? for me, no.
I know what I mean with unvampireness is that well. There is a set genre, and It feels like she doesnt really goes into it, as I said the unvampreness could slide off with good writing skills and maybe some terror/gore/mystery/suspense/etc feeling.
I didn't like the book (reading it was a waste of my time, since I kept thinking it would get better) but I do want to point out the thing about unvampiristic. There are no set laws for what a vampire can and cannot do. They just have to be the living dead that drink blood.
How far have you read into the Vampire Chronicles? There is a point where Lestat doesn't have to drink blood that much anymore. I do believe that's the fifth book. All the older vampires don't either, but they still do.
Also, in TVC they have powers - reading minds, flying, making things burn etc.
I've read other books where vampires can go into daylight.
All I'm saying is that the author did use vampire traits that other authors have used.
So true. I read twilight also, and thought that the plot was weak, and the author just threw in a bunch of washed out hollywood romance and cliches too distract the reader. Because really, most teenage girls would just turn a blind eye to how average the book is, and say it was great just because of the romance. Which seriously, i found cheesy. Twilight is really the kind of book that you would enjoy if you were bored and wanted to be entertained. Nothing is original, its just one cliche after another. But I guess thats what sells now days. Kinda sad. :/
