The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas is an excellent film about Jack the Pumpkin King being taught the true meaning of Christmas by having to get 'Santy-claws' from 'Oggie.'

It all starts off when Jack's getting praised by everyone but realizes he wants something else, that something is missing from his life. He feels all alone and isolated, but little does he know, he's not the only one.

Sally, a doll woman is watching him as he sings about his troubles. She knows how he feels and wants to tell him so much but never gets a chance. That night Jack starts walking through the woods with his ghost of a dog. By the morning he doesn’t know where he is. He’s in a part of the woods he’s never been before. He’s surrounded by trees, each with symbols he doesn’t recognize, each representing a different holiday. He opens the door shaped like a Christmas tree and gets sucked in.

Discovering this new world Jack looks around and realizes that’s what he’s missing. He goes back to Halloween town eager to tell everyone about his recent discovery. They make a plan amongst the town to recreate Christmas, each monster with their own job. Jack only makes one mistake. He chooses the wrong people to kidnap ‘Santy-claws’ (weather or not he should be kidnapped at all). He makes the trick-or-treaters swear they won’t tell boogie but they betray him.

Meanwhile, Sally realizes something is wrong and tries to warn Jack but he doesn’t listen. He’s already decided that ‘Santy-claws’ needs a break so gets the town to making toys. He had a good heart but a shame that he didn’t know kids wanted bunny toys instead of possessed dolls.

That only leaves him and Sally to save Christmas, but will he do it?

This film should be watched at Christmas Halloween and well everyday you can fit it in! It lasts 76 minutes and you won’t lose interest at all!
