Supernatural Season Three; Box set.

So, yesterday my brand new copy of Supernatural’s third season finally came through my letterbox. It was a big event to me, and my brother judging by his reaction. In fact, I had only managed to get it off him a few hours before writing this (and its 2am in the morning.)

But, is the 5 disk box set worth the £17:98 I paid for it? Seeing as the season is six episodes short, after the writers strike, but is claimed to be filled with Special features to make up for it.

After watching over my favourite episodes, this time in perfect quality not on a fuzzy video on the internet, I really enjoyed it. I noticed stuff that I had never noticed before, which truly made me laugh. Once watching my favourite episodes, I headed straight to the special features, majority of the disks have special features for you to enjoy.

My favourite, being the gag reel. There is nothing better than Jensen Ackles [Dean Winchester] dancing around in the rain singing songs with sexual meanings. (restrain yourselves from raping them monitor, fan girls) Plus, proof that Jared Padalecki [Sam Winchester] screams like a girl is true entertainment.

There is also a feature on the Chevrolet Impala 1967, discussing about the amount of the cars they have, and the ones they use for special shots. An interesting look into the trunk of the car, where all the weapons are hidden. Impala ‘67 is a beautiful car, and this feature on the DVDs has made me love it even more.

The other features include: ‘A closer look’ starring many of the producers and what not about certain episodes, Ghost Facers confessions, mini featurette gallery and a documentary on how the special effects are made on the show.

Would I recommend it? Hell yeah! And not only to Supernatural fans! My brothers girlfriend was around today, and all they did was watch Supernatural (Now, that’s my kinda date!) and now his girlfriend is in love with the show… Not to mention Sam And Dean!

Which basically means… GO BUY IT NOW!
