I love Pokemon. I grew up with Pokemon from the first time they released Red/Blue/Yellow. <3 And lemme tell you, those games were the hardest because of the limited amount of Pokemon and moves. But it was still cool for the 90's.

As for my impression on the Black/White games, I love them. I like the rotational battles and although I have yet to use it, I do like the C-Gear idea. I like Team Plasma's conflicting goal, but their little "plasmaaaaaa" thing gets annoying. :/ By the way, my favorite starter is Tepig! <3 I loved this article! :D

In terms of presentation this is the best of the franchise but I just felt like the story was a bit too political and the Pokemon look too goofy one Pokemon is a fetus for crying out loud. The game looks amazing though. I personally prefer Heart Gold/Soul Silver over Black and White.

This review is really good, but this being my own opinion, I think I'd give the game only 9/10. It's not my favourite, despite some features, and I didn't get as pulled into the game as I did with other ones. It doesn't stop the game being as good, but it just didn't rub right with me.
Bianca and Cheren aren't my favourite friends, I mean, I loved the friend in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. Also, some of the Pokemon just seem silly. I mean, Woobat? It doesn't look that amazing, nor is it's name that good. This is my own opinion here.

I do wish, however, that you had mentioned the seasons, and how they affect certain Pokemon, e.g. Deerling. But all in all, a great review, I'd give it a 10/10 ;D

I'm so sorry, I just realized I mispelled your username. >.< Thought I'd just say this in case you take it the wrong way, it was a typo I didn't see until now. Sorry, didn't mean to do so. (:

I got the impression that Ash had aged a bit in the TV series where Dawn comes in. I felt as if she was younger than him and Brock.

I'm really enjoying Pokemon Black. I've been playing since Sapphire, and I still love the games. Although, once Platnum came out, I stopped playing for a while. The storyline's weren't enough to entertain me, not even with HeartGold. But I'm addicted to the new game.
I do feel as if the Pokemon are a bit silly, though. One of them is the spitting image of a pigeon? I felt as if they could've been a bit more creative with the Pokemon, even if it meant not having over a hundred in the game.
Still, overall I love it!

They actually dropped the slogan "Gotta Catch 'Em All" a long time ago. I believe it was dropped after Johto when they announced they were taking Pokemon even farther with new regions. They dropped it due to it being impossible for Ash to really get every single Pokemon, but the fans have kept the slogan. I've got a complete Pokedex in Black so it is possible to catch them all. (:

Thank you all for commenting and reading my review, first of all, and now I'm going to answer some of your questions.
First TxSutty, I don't think the games are over the top. I've got to admit that every time a new game comes out I get worried that they will mess up and the game will be a disappointment because I'm pretty sure it's hard to continue a series like this for this long. As for the anime, I totally agree with you. Although I recently started watching the Black and White series and I must say it's got promise, considering how much I hated the Diamond and Pearl series, but the anime has nothing to do with the games so I don't like to think that if the show sucks then the game must suck too.
And the game is easy during the story but once you beat the story some strong trainers appear. The Elite Four is considerably difficult the second time, Cynthia also challenges you and she's one tough trainer, and the director of GameFreak challenges you and he's one tough trainer as well.
Thanks again for reading my article

Wow so Black and White do look promising then, I'm still on Diamond at the moment but hopefully I'll be getting either of the new versions soon.

Plus TSutty it is possible to 'catch them all' there are special events and ways that are required to recieve pokemon.

I think Pokemon has gone a bit over the top now, I use to watch it when the first show come out, yea I had a few pokemon cards, I had red and gold on the gameboy. But after that I feel its a bit same old, same old now. I work at a music/film/game retail shop and to be honest we've barely sold any from our shop.

I think the games gone a bit out of control now, even the show. I mean Ash is still what? 13... he should be about 18 or 19 by now, I know its anime and the world of anime can be twisted to however the creators want but come on? I think its getting a bit stupid now with the amount of games they are releasing, plus it is in fact impossible to

'Catch them all'

Me and my friend tried this with the Diamon and Pearl games and we weren't even close... I use to be a fan of Pokemon and I'm happy to see there still are fans of it, but you have to agree its getting a bit out of control now?

Thanks for this review. I'm planning on getting Black as soon as I have the money and this was a way awesome review. :)

I love the idea of always running into new Pokemon. I'm one of those people that loves finding out which Pokemon are which types and how they can be used to my advantage so it's pretty cool being faced with a whole new region and no familiar Pokemon. I also really like the team's objective: releasing Pokemon because they feel it's wrong to exploit them. I'm used to Team Rocket, Magma/Aqua, and...er, that one in DPPt...using the legendaries to create a new world so it's pretty awesome to see a team that could potentially be good. It kind of makes you see yourself as an antagonist and that's definitely interesting.

Although it seems to be pretty easy to beat. My sister beat the Elite Four and she's not even a person that likes to see the types and figure them out. ._.

Still getting it, though. Great article. ;)

I've seen the game and everything but I think a new season itself is sort of going over the top. We went from about 100 Pokemon to like 500

It's nice to see someone on mibba who actually likes Pokemon. I'm glad you gave this such a good review.

I agree with basically everything you said. The games are truly amazing, these games are really some of Pokemon's best. Although I wish there were more Rotation Battles, I love those and was slightly disappointed that there were so little of them. Hopefully if they do make a third tier game to Unova they'll put much more Rotation Battles in it.
