Medal of Honor

Developed by EA (as most of my reviewed games will be), Medal of Honor is a bombshell of a video game. It's fast-paced like a priceless novelette, and it's true grit for all those gamers out there who love the tough heros for video game protagonists.

I bought this game a few days ago, so I decided to do a quick run-down of the game for you guys, partially because I haven't completely beaten the game, and partially because I want there to be no surprises. So sources were used for parts I could not relate to you, the reader.

The plot begins with a group of Tier One soldiers who are on their way to begin the invasion of Afghanistan. They're looking for a man with intel on the Taliban, named Tariq, but it ends up in a bloody shoot-out. This is only one of many heart-pounding plot scenarios you encounter throughout the game.

I have encountered one glitch, where a combatant on my team stops moving or twitches in a rock or a wall (or both, for that matter, since we're in Afghanistan.) If you happen to run into this glitch, just shoot your fellow soldier, and he'll snap out of it.

The gameplay is simple and the controls are easy to get used to. There are no glaring errors as far as its relation to actual combat, except for very minor details (you can't really expect much from EA these days.)

The guns are magnificant, and the technology is advanced. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda are very unique and similar to the actual "martyrs." Overall, the game is very realistic.

Medal of Honor is available for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Click here for system requirements.

This game is rated M for mature. Find information on family rating from ESRB here.

My rating: 8/10. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves first-person shooters or anyone who wants to learn to love them.
