Halo 2

Halo 2 was created by Bungie Studios for Xbox (not 360) and was released on November 9 in 2004.

Something new in this old-fashioned game was the dual-wielded weaponry action in which players can pick up more than one weapon, mainly plasmas and other Covenant based firepower.

Vehicle upgrades and enhancements give the player a variety to do. I personally sought out the love for Ghosts in Halo 2 mainly because of the never ending boost you can give yourself with the push of a certain control. For impatient people much like myself, I think it was a great addition to get to your destination and fast.

As always, I adore the co-op campaigns throughout the Halo series because it gives you an extra boost of confidence going into a campaign level as well as endless amounts of fun. Having two players can never go wrong, especially if true back up is what you're looking for.

One thing that I personally adored about this game was the fact that our view and game points shifted between human and alien. In a few levels here to there, we were given information on the happenings of Master Chief while in the others, we had greater insight on Arbiter, a shunned Elite Warrior who was meant to lead the Covenant into battle. As far as Arbiter goes, the only thing that differs him from Chief is that his armor lacks a flashlight and instead, he has active camouflage that needs to be recharged after a duration of time.

Multiplayer

Much like Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 also has an online gaming system that can be linked through Xbox live. Though I have never used this, a majority of my friends truly enjoyed matchmaking games as well as the maps (or so they recall) and adored the unlimited game plays.

Soundtrack

If there is one thing that brings me into Halo, it's definitely the soundtrack. Once opening up the game and scrolling through the menu, the track is rather unbelievable. It gives you a sensitive feel to it, though everyone is different at comprehending their music.

It has a very theatrical and religious flow to it and it's different from what I normally hear. To me, it'll never get old. I personally believe that Martin O'donnell and Michael Salvatori did an amazing job in composing this music.

Throughout the course of the game, I was stunned to hear bands I knew which included Breaking Benjamin and Incubus though there are additional tracks hidden for us to seek.
