Halo 4

Halo 4 was created by 343 Industries after Bungie had finished the trilogy. This game takes a different approach to Master Chief's call of duty in which a new brand of enemy called the Forerunner are in his line of vision. The alliances that we sought between the humans and elite warriors in Halo 3 are no longer intact as this takes place farther into the future, years after the Human-Covenant war has ended.

Gameplay

With new enemies come new weapons and upgrades. Many of the Forerunner gear and machinery was phenomenal to use. Based off of human weapons, these upgraded ones were quite fun to use, especially in seeing how powerful or weak one can be.

As far as the plot of Halo 4 goes, I was rather disappointed. I will admit, I was expecting more rather than what I had played.

There isn't just Halo without the Covenant as your star enemies. The Forerunner breed didn't fall to my benefit but the game itself received praise.

It's obvious to see that Bungie did not incorporate the game mainly due to soundtracks. Always being tied in when opening the main screen, in Halo 4 you find a rather odd track that seems to be unfitting. Another downfall would have to be the relationship that Master Chief and his A.I Cortana had fallen under. Being nothing more than a program, some found it odd that there was immense love brewing between the duo when it was inexistent in the previous Halo trilogy.

As far as the campaign play, I'd choose online multiplayer if anything. The maps have come to catch my attention and achievements are a must have, especially if you're willing to level up your player for new armor unlocks. For me, it's still a work in progress since I don't have Xbox Live. Leveling up your player without the fun of multiplayer "Capture the Flag" or "4 vs 4" is harder and a slower progress, but it can still pay off at the end.

Overall

I personally think 343 Industries constructed a rather good plot with the typical downfalls, but nothing can truly make me fall in love with Halo 4 as I did with the trilogy before it.
