The Unborn

The Unborn Before I see movies, I always do a little research. "The Unborn" was just released yesterday, so last night I couldn't find anything about the movie. I visited the website and watched the trailer. The movie trailer was good. I went to the theater Friday night, ready to be scared.

The storyline was weak. Casey Beldon, the lead female, was supposed to have a brother, who died. The girl's mom hung herself, because her twin killed her. The demon was from a Holocaust camp. It was a little boy who died when scientists tried to change his eye color to blue. When the demon possesses people, their eyes change to blue.

The visual effects were also horrible. The girl's grandmother was killed when the demon possessed an old man, who turned his head all the way around and ran on four legs. The transition from man to severed head beast was awful. You can see a picture from the scene here at http://fandango.com/the_unborn.

The acting was fake. When the girl's grandmother died, she was crying and wiping away tears that weren't even there. The chemistry between Odette Yustman and Cam Gigandet wasn't even there. It was obvious that they were paid just to make out and have sex on the big screen.

Overall the movie was a train wreck. Don't waste $10 on two hours of fake acting, poor scenery, and stupid story lines.
