Napoleon Dynamite

Napoleon Dynamite Napoleon Dynamite, this is by far my favorite movie. Why is it my favorite movie? I have no idea. There's something about that too-cool-for-school dork that just attracts me to watching it over and over again.

It's so annoyingly stupid that you can't help but laugh. It's hard to get over the fact that the main theme of this movie is strength, but once you think about it, it actually fits in well and is portrayed quite oddly through the friendship of Napoleon, Deb and Pedro.

Actor Jon Heder was the perfect choice for the part. The way he expressed emotion by wanting to express very little emotion was amazing, that's what first caught my eye. What I liked best about it was the simple add-in scenes that had nothing to do with the movie.

For example, the scene where he wants to go home because he needs his chopstick. Genius! And the part about the 'sweet jumps', that was so stupid, but obviously one of the funniest parts of the entire film.

I also enjoyed that Pedro actually won the election. That part really surprised me. I also loved Napoleon's dance to help Pedro win. It was even used in my school's elections. A Girl running for president announced that even though a skit wasn't required in our school, she was going to do one anyway. She even wore a top exactly like Napoleon's, only hers sported her name instead. It's safe to say she won that election.

If you haven't already seen this movie, then I highly suggest that you check it out. It'll be worth your while.

"Grandma just called and said you're supposed to go home. "
"She didn't tell me anything. "
"Too bad, she said she doesn't want you here when she gets back because you've been ruining everybody's lives and eating all our steak."
