As teenagers Allie and Noah met one moonlit night at a local fairground in 1940 and from then on their lives were changed. The moment Noah set eyes on Allie he knew she was the one and didn't stop until Allie agreed to go out with him. After sharing every waking day with each other they were separated by Allie's upper class parents who believe that Noah wasn't right for her. Seven years pass, and they meet again reliving their passion which focuses Allie to choose between her soul mate and class status. This particularity love story has a special meaning to an older gentleman who regularly reads the timeless love story to his older companion.

This best seller features Ryan Gosling as Noah Calhoun and Rachel McAdams as Allie Hamilton. The movie takes you through emotional situations which will set off a flow of tears that are unable to be stopped. Based on a novel this movie has everything; romance, love triangles, tears and dancing. Perfect for a night in with a bowl of popcorn.

I fell in love with this film and recommend it to anyone who enjoys romantic love stories. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams perform so well and make the characters believable which helped this film win 11 awards including best kiss, best dance scene and best male and female performances.
