The Hangover

The Hangover From the makers of three of the funniest movies of all time (Road Trip, Old School, and Starsky & Hutch), are we surprised about how funny the hangover is? The movie stars Justin Bartha as the lead character Doug, Bradley Cooper as the sexy Phil, Ed Helms as Stu, and the icing on the cake Zach Galifianakis (say that three times fast) as Doug's brother in-law Allan.

I wasn't expecting much as I sat down with my popcorn and drink on opening night of The Hangover. There were few people in the audience, I didn't recognize any of the cast and I wasn't in the best mood. After just the first scene I had tears of laughter and my stomach hurt. I couldn't believe how funny it was. I totally underestimated how funny it would be.

Now I don't want to spoil any of the jokes because you really need to see it for yourself, but let's just say that you will be reciting lines from the movie for days and days. I drove my family so crazy they had to see what was so funny. So I went again and my ears hurt from my parents laughing. I am not saying that this movie is fun for all ages. In fact, anyone under 14 shouldn't go, but if you don't mind a penis or two then you should see it for sure.

The hilarious plot was actually inspired by a real-life event that happened to the movie's producer when he was at a bachelor party and the next morning he awoke in a strip club with a big bill.

The movie is one of the highest comedy grossing films of all time, and for good reason. It holds all positive reviews and there is even talk of a sequel. Which I will see, but it will be hard to top.
