Rocky Horror Picture Show

Rocky Horror Picture Show is quite a movie. There are a lot of thoughts that come to people's minds when you say something about this movie. Some thoughts that come to my head are Frankenfurter, "Sweet Transvestite" and the dance that came out of this movie - Time Warp.

The movie starts with Brad Majors and his fiance, Janet Weiss at a friend's wedding. The bride throws the flowers and Janet catches it. As Brad and Janet walk Brad goes into confessing his love for Janet in the song "Dammit Janet".

As they drive that night to visit Dr. Scott, the car suddenly halts to a stop and they can't go any further and it's raining heavily. Brad and Janet drove by a castle on their way, so they walk back to the castle to call someone to pick them up. When Riff-Raff answers the door there is an awkward conversation that takes place but ultimately they are guided in. He tells them they're lucky because the master of the house is having a party. Magenta the maid comes down and says that "WE'RE ALL LUCKY!" They find themselves pulled into the middle of the "Annual Transylvanian Convention".

Everyone in the room goes into the infamous dance of the "Time Warp". When Brad and Janet think that things can't get any worse, the elevator comes down and wrapped in a black cloak is Franknfurter. He walks out and sings "Sweet Transvestite", where he explains that he is "a sweet transvestite from transsexual Transylvania."

After Frank's introduction there is clapping and Franknfurter tells Brad and Janet to come up to his lab.

When they get up to the lab there is an experiment unveiled. Rocky Horror is born. Rocky is Franknfurter's hot project. After Rocky tries to run from Franknfurter, Frank shows him the presents that he got for Rocky. The present is weights and Frank goes into "I Can Make You A Man" and then the reprise. Eddie, Frank's last project comes in during the reprise so it's interrupted. Eddie comes in singing his song, "Hootie Patootie - Bless My Soul." Then is promptly killed by Franknfurter. Brad and Janet the whole time stand in horror and watch. Columbia, Eddie's girlfriend and a fellow Transylvanian, screams and runs up to her room to cry. She sings her little song about Eddie.

It turns to night, Riff-Raff shows the stripped down Brad and Janet to two different rooms. Franknfurter during the night seduces both of them. Then comes Dr. Everett Von Scott. He came to get Eddie which leads him into "Eddie's Teddy". Dr. Scott ultimately discovers that Eddie has been killed. Franknfurter chases Janet and Brad but Dr. Scott follows Franknfurter. When they get back to the lab everyone but Frank get frozen, and Franknfurter starts to sing "Planet Schmanet Janet".

Fast forward about 1/2 an hour and you get to see Franknfurter dressing everyone up the same way he's dressed, in drag. He has everyone do a show on stage with him and they sing "Rose Tint My World, Don't Dream It, Wild & Untamed Thing." Things from there just get weirder as Riffraff and Magenta come back in and say that they are going to back to Transylvania. Franknfurter gets happy and starts singing but Riff-Raff says that he's not going back, he's going to die. Franknfurter gets killed, then followed by Rocky Horror. With all that occurred Dr. Scott, Brad and Janet leave the castle in ripped up stripper outfits.
The movie ends with the castle blasting off back to Transylvania.

Even though it's such a weird movie, it's a must-see at some point. It does on some occasions take 2 watches to completely understand all the characters and everything that happens.
