Saw VI - Comments

• I get this is your thoughts and all but if you compare this to five you've to admit 6 was way better, and when in comparig it to the first one well of course its going to suck they all kind of do because one was the best and the only one James Wan had anything to do with I think ..

Yes the films are repetitive but they all had a point, we where slowly learning a story that needed to be told, basically we where suffering basically the same suffering Jigsaw did, and its not like the kills where mindless or anything like they.. No they where perfectly planned out metrically thought out caculated almost as if he actually knew what choice the person(s) was going to make once in the games...

When you think of all the back story that is in the movies and everything and you compare it to say Friday the 13th, Halloween, things like that all you're seeing is basically the same kills all the time and almost always in the same sitting at least with the Saw franchies though you played the game repetivily at least each (Almost) you're seeing a new and inventive kill...

Thats what the fans like me wanted thats why these films kept gettig gorier its because we asked for it and SAW isn't just a Horror or a Gore film its a sub Genre of the Horror Genre called Tourter Porn and because thats the kind of film it was they could keep gettig gorier ridiculously gory by the 7th one and we'd still flock to the movies to see it, because its what we wanted...

Sorry for posting even though this is 2 years old just had a lot to say please don't take offense I don't mean it that way just my thoughts...

• I agree. I enjoyed all the saw movies but despite the interesting storyline, the movies are repeating themselves and not going anywhere. Now there's a seventh one out and it must involve Jigsaw's wife. :O

• I liked Saw IV alot. and yeah, I do think that they're making too many, but I think they're generally good movies (usually hit or miss with me).
but if it gets up to VIII or IX, i'm gonna have to mail a letter to the directors.

• All I have to say was this film was A LOT to stomach.

• I can't even keep up with how many there are!
But yes, six is far too many. Same with the Jaws movies. They should've quit after the first one because honestly, how many gigantic killer sharks are there, and why do they tend to prey on the one family?

• I haven't even bothered to watch it because when the third when came out. I thought it was too much now it's at six. Wow.

• I've still have'nt seen saw IV so like them making more saw movies each year is like slow down. I think they are trying to be like Elm Street,Halloween,Chucky, and Friday the thirteenth with all these sequels I can barely keep up. By the time I'm going to college there will a Saw XLV.

• I liked Saw I through to Saw IV and then it started getting too repetitive.
I'm not going to even attempt seeing, because I pretty much no exactly what's going to happen :/

• I would have to agree with you. Part VI was pretty much complete and utter crap. Nothing they ever make will add up to the first one made. Maybe they should just stop writing, and learn creativity skills.

• While I did like the twist, I will agree. Six kind of seemed like a filler movie, plotwise. And honestly, making a seventh? They just need to stop.

• I've only seen the first three, and they were all brilliant, but after reading your article, I've realised that the producers are just making the movies gorier and gorier for the sake of it, sacrificing the audience's enjoyablity. I think I'll still see the others movies though, just out of curiosity.

• I kind of disagree. I mean, yes, they're still playing the game with different players and everything. But in each movie the concept changes slightly apart from the first couple. Like, in V it was trying to show self-center people that they need to work with others to accomplish their tasks. I liked that about that movie. And I actually didn't figure that out until they realized it in the movie, which rarely happens to me. And in VI, instead of testing different people individually they were just testing one person. But I guess that they did that in IV... I admit it wasn't my favorite, and I did figure out the entire movie from the start, but I still enjoyed VI.

• I have to say that I've enjoyed all six Saw movies. I find them all new and well...creative. The killer may be the same, but that doesn't bother me. I'm looking forward to the future Saw movies.

• Awww :/ I'm disappointed, I was afraid something like this would happen. Good review!

• I liked six. It was the first one I enjoyed since two. :]

• I thought with IV and V that it was going downhill, but for me, VI put it back on the track, so to speak. It was much more exciting this time.

• I didn't complain, I just said that I didn't like the movie. And explained why. I don't think I'm too quick to judge since I saw all six parts (: I was stating my opinion.. From the moment Jill handed 5 envelopes to Hoffman and kept the sixth to herself, I knew the ending. But that's just me.

• I think we're too quick to judge. I agree the 5 sucked but 6 was pretty good. I seriously didn't expect the ending because it hadn't been done before. Also, these aren't necessarily "horror" movies. They're gore movies. Depends on what you like. I say that if you like "horror" movies, go see Paranormal Activity and stop complaining.

• I agree that Saw is getting old now, but OCCASIONALLY they think up a death that will make me go, "Oh my God..."
Like the death at the end of Saw V which I won't mention here. But yeah, that made me feel ill.
I think they do need to give it up though.
Good article (:

• I went and watched Saw VI on Halloween night and, although it did make my heart race since I like gore and stuff, they're seriosusly exhausting the franchise.

They need to think of something fresh before they lose the fanbase, but give the movie a 3/5, just for the gore and effort, haha.
