New Moon: Did It Live Up To Our Expectations? - Comments

• I agree with you on the Bella and Jacob relationship. Unlike the book, you want Bella to stay with Jacob. He seems more real and actually has a personality. In the book, it made you want Edward to come back so much, when she hears his voice you expect him to be there. But when they made him actually appear it ruined that effect. It made you know straight away it was a hallucination.
I actually thought it was Funnier than twilight.

I think for all the other movies to work and make proper sense, the first movie needed to stick to the story line and add in the crucial parts. I don't think Catherine Harwick did a very good job on that and by watching the speacial features, it seems as if she's deciding what will happen as she goes.

I think the movies will get better as they go, hopefully. :)

• I loved New Moon. It's better than Twilight. The only scene out of New Moon I thought was ridiculous was the part where Edward and Bella are running through the forest in Alice's vision. I mean, there's a good chance that if a person hasn't read the books that they wouldn't know they were running after food. But even if people did know, it's still pretty ridiculous and cheesy. There was a girl behind me in the cinema who actually said, 'Oh my God...that's so gay'. lol.

• InVadErZimIzMyTwIn you just read my mind.
Harry Potter is way better then Twilight. In books and in movies. I was a Twilight fan until it got a little too popular. I've always been a Harry Potter fan. Twilight will never beat Harry Potter because like you said its all-time top. There is more Harry Potter fans than Twilight. The most fans of Twilight just like Robert (Edward) or Jacob (Taylor) they are mainly the two big guys here because they think he is hot and then they read the book. Not all fans are like that. Some fans been fans since the beginning. And don't forget Robert was in Harry Potter too.

• Ground Level: Team Seth is NOT both jacob and edward!!!!!!! It is the team for people like me who only like ine character, Seth! And I don't know what you are smoking but I was cracking up at the nightmare scenes I mean come on! She sounded so fake and it WAS akward! Jesus, some people are just so weird......

But I did enjoy the movie, it got me back into the mode I was when I was reading the series and there werent that many fangirls. Thought kristan ruined bella for me and Seth wasnt even it it!

• I am such a die hard twilight fan. And the last movie was really terrible but New Moon is so goo I have already seen it 3 times :)

• I think the movie was good and I think Stewart was an excellent actress to pick. They could have picked anyone and they picked her and to be honest, I've been a fan of hers since she was in Catch That Kid. Ha-ha, but New Moon reached past my expectations and I was pretty pissed about the ending. They can't just leave it at a cliff hanger! (:

• Although I do agree with most of this, one part I think isn't just to do with the movie. The whole Bella/Alice relationship was fast formed in the New Moon book also, and I think, personally, that the movie just portrays that bond as the book implies it.

• I have to disagree on the point that Stewart's acting is "lacking", as I've read in some of the comments. My position on that subject is that Bella Swan is just not a good character and therefore a very hard character to act on because she /is/ that boring and over dramatic; again, a quote from a commenter. I have to say, I am biased when it comes to Stewart but only because I have seen some of her other movies and I happen to think she is a very talented actress.

• I stood in a line for over an hour. Yes it was worth it, but the whole Alice and Bella thing is really confusing. Though I have to say I like this Director way more than Katherine. I loved Emmett and Jasper's lines, though there were very few, I fell like by having less of them your missing out on more of the book. I do however love the Fight scene they added with the Voultri, but is it just me or is Aro a little fruity? Dekota played an amazing Jane. I also LOVED how they showed how much Charlie cares for Bella, which is something you don't see that much in the books. Hopefully Eclipse will be better, more fight scenes and whatnot. Though I'm pissed they fired the REAL Victoria. --_--

p.s your review was really great sooo ya

• I thought that New Moon was lacking. They left out many scenes, as they did in Twilight, and the acting was outrageous. Very disappointed...

• Really good review. I totally agree with you. I think Stewart's acting was sometimes boring and sometimes way too dramatic. For example, when Edward leaves her in the forest and she collapses - more like fake falling - to the ground. With all the craze going on, I thought it was going to be a WAY better movie than twilight. Instead, after I watched it, I realised it was a tiny bit better than twilight.
I think the Volturi and the Werewolves were a definitely a plus. I loved those parts, and those parts is why I would recommend it to people to watch.
It seems that Pattinson's acting does not quite suit the Edward Cullen personality. In the books, I am definitely Team Edward - because lets face it, Jacob gets real annoying. But it seems in the movie, I am Team Jacob because of Taylor Lautner's superb acting. The relationship between Jacob and Bella is really well shown in this movie. :)

• Haha.
Wow, I forgot all about them being in those other movies..
Anyway, I loved New Moon.
Way better than Twilight.

• I agree with some parts of this review and disagree with some parts with this review. I won't get into which parts are which but I will say that it was better than the first.

Though, I will admit that everytime I saw Aro, I kept thinking in my head, "TURN INTO A WEREWOLF!" but that was because he played Lucien in Underworld. Also, whenever I saw Caius, I started singing some random song from Sweeney Todd because he was whatever-his-name was in that as well.

Either way, I say Chris Weiz did a good job.

• I went to the pre-screening just to see it at 12 at midnight.

It was definitely worth it.

Way better then the first one.

I actually found the whole script and directing in the first one not as good.

I think that's what ruined it for me.

But that's just me.
