The wolves were made of win, in the add I thought they looked a lot smaller and less menacing but in the movie, it was amazing.

My biggest annoyance throughout the film was the constant spining in the camera work, dizzy spells aren't fun in darkend cinemas...

I think the best thing about this movie was the wolves. People say the graphics aren't too great and that the wolves don't look like wolves. Well I think it's just ridiculous to say that! I think Chris Weitz did an amazing job on this movie and it was way better than the first.
Though some bits I agree were wierd. Mainly the Bella-vampire scene. While in the cinema many people burst out laughing. It did look quite stupid. Apart from that I thought it was brilliant, the acting = way better, and the action I loved!

I plan on waiting til all the crazies have seen it the six or so times they plan on going so I can actually watch the movie and not hear 'OH EM GEE EDWARD/JACOB I LOOOVE YOU AHHHH!' cause you know, when I pay to see a movie I kinda like to actually watch it.
I swear to god if I hear one person proclaiming their love for a fictional character (seriously and more than once) I'm chucking my drink at their head.

I saw the movie yesterday, and compared to Twilight, it was uber-amazing.

The only parts that made me upset was that Jacob gave Bella a bracelet in the book, and a dream catcher in the movie.

Also, when Bella slapped Paul and he transformed into a werewolf, that part was good. But a couple scenes later, when Bella and Jacob were walking along the beach, she's all, "So, you're a werewolf, huh?"
She didn't seem angry, upset, surprised, nothing you would think that someone would feel when they found out their best friend was a werewolf.

Also, when Aro saw the vision in Alice's mind with Edward and Bella running through the woods. Random much?

Honestly, I'd give it a 9/10! :D

100% better than the Twilight movie. But it was slightly random and it slightly disappointed me, when some scenes in the book didn't appear in the movie.

1 part that was random, was when Bella randomly got onto the back of that motorcycle with that creepy guy. And when she comes back, she's all like normal.

Another, was when Aro too Alice's hand to see Alice's vision of Bella being a vampire, and then there's the really random scene of Edward & Bella running around in the meadow and forest in slow motion. And Bella's all smiling and wearing a dress.

So weird. But I would give this film 8/10 =)

I completely agree with this article. I love the books because you can feel all the emotions and it even makes you really sad, but the movies were a huge disappointment for me. I think I expected too much, personally I think they could have done a better job picking Bella and Edward.
One of the most important parts in the book (to me) was when Edward broke up with Bella and left her all lonely and depressed, the book did a great job explaining how Bella felt but the movie didn't do such a great job.
Hopefully Eclipse and Breaking Dawn are better, we'll see.

I'm just glad SOMEONE was brave enough to say this, and then run away from the screaming fangirls.

I liked it because of one thing: Jacob. Oh my gosh, how anybody could choose him over Jacob is like beyond me.

I have to agree. I was so hungry for New Moon and I was thoroughly disappointed. I thought the Movie would live up to my expectations and halfway through the movie, I knew I would be disappointed.
For one, They missed so many key elements in the book! Like, When Alice comes back to make sure Bella's alive. Alice and Bella were supposed to have a heart to heart connection. That connection was really important for the relationship they have in Eclipse/Breaking Dawn. Also, When Edward comes back to Forks, Him and Bella were supposed to talk in her bedroom. That bedroom talk was the most important part in the book (to me). Edward said so many beautiful things that they just nixed out of the movie!
ex. “Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars –points of light and reason….And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything.”
I was so upset that they just took out that scene. That scene was very important to me.
And the ending! The ending was horrible. How can they just end it like they did? "Marry me." ....end. I was so angry with how they ended the movie, that it just ruined the whole thing for me.
All the actors/actresses were phenomenal but the script needed some heavy adjusting.
I give New Moon a 6/10, for me the movie was a huge disappointment.

I have to agree with The Fantasy.
Everyone says that Kristen is a bad actress because she shows little emotion, but think about it....Bella lives almost entirely in her head. The reason she and Edward work so well together is because he brings her out into the world and life. Jacob does as well, but in a different (more youthful and carefree) way.
Still, Bella is very introverted and I think Kristen portrays that extremely well.

I also found the future Bella-vampire scene extremely weird and awkward. I think it would have been much better if they'd just left it out...more mysterious for the audience.

The nightmares were not awkward to me....the torrent of emotion that Bella expresses there is just heart-wrenching.

New Moon was always my favorite book, but I have always leaned more toward Team Edward even though I consider myself Team Seth(both Edward & Jacob) because I always saw Jacob as young and immature. After seeing the movie, I realized that Jacob made Bella smile in a way Edward never can. For Bella, she will never be good enough for him but with Jacob they are equal and happy. Bella and Edward's relationship just seemed painful in this film.

Let me also point out that Taylor Lautner's acting was amazing!
The wolf fight between Paul & Jacob rocked!
And I loved the movie theatre scene and the elevator scene.

I loved the movie! :)
It was a lot like the book and that made me happy. The ending was great because a lot of the fan girls in the theater gasped, which made me and my friend laugh so hard! I can't wait for Eclipse (which is my favorite book out of the whole series).

I completely disagree with this article.

You talked about the Bella/Alice relationship, saying that it barely mentioned that they were friends in the first movie, then all of a sudden, in this movie, Alice's name is always on Bella's lips. Honestly, I think people should just try to think of this movie as completely separate from the first because obviously, Catherine Hardwicke didn't know what the eff she was doing. Chris Weitz actually saved the saga, in my opinion. I mean, there were so many great scenes. The movie actually topped my expectations.

I will admit, the scene with them running together with matching out-fits was a bit silly, as was the scene where Bella is all "Since it's my birthday, can I just ask one thing? Kiss me?" But other than that, I thought every scene was extremely well done. Weitz completely rescued the meadow, which was awesome. The underwater scene was absolutely fantastic. The whole thing with Victoria in the woods was great because of how it was filmed and the music choice during it. The wolves looked amazing and real.

And whoever says that Kristen is not a good actress in this movie is clearly mistaken. Kristen's best acting skill is playing depressed and she lives up to that in this movie. The nightmare scenes where she's screaming are perfect, as is how she acts so void of emotion.

The entire scene in Italy was incredibly well done. It stayed so absolutely close to the book, as did the majority of the film, right up to the very end, even if they did leave out the Epilogue.

I absolutely loved it.

I agree with this article so much.
Except that I didn't think the Volturi fight scene was that good an idea.
It's gonna happen later, why use it now?

The movie was great! But because I'm a twilight fan you'll probably think I'll love it anyway. But i went in there thinking "I'll probably be disappointed" but I wasn't, some parts I was, but the end was killer and I was anxious if they put it in there. The wolves were so great! the effects on them were great! A + for me. So great!

I thought it was pretty good.

The wolf pack was awesome. I thought the fight scenes were very fast paced, which I guess is good.

And I don't like Bella, Kristen is not a good actress. Edward needs more range in my opinion, he's alright, but could be better. However Bella is just a lousy character all the way around...I think.

Overall the whole as a whole, acting, script, effects, I give it an 8 out of 10.

I loved the movie. Of course they cant get it as perfect as the book bc they had to fit it into 2 and a half hours. Those are big books, and just cuz it wasnt as amazing as everyone was hyped up for it to be, it was still better than the first one. Im bored w twilight, but only twilight. And I think the producers see that waiting so long for new moon was a big mistake and they prolly lost a lot of fans(AKA money) in doing that. So Eclipse is coming out in June on the 30.

The movie wasn't that bad.My impression of it was that it was pretty good, but that's what you think when you see Twilight and then New Moon one after another, which made me think that comparing the two New Moon is a better movie. It does have flaws. I wasn't quite convinced by Kristen's acting. She had mostly the same expression on her face...the nightmare scenes were awkward...and the scene with them running in the forest made everyone in the cinema laugh hysterically.

The Victoria chase was cool. I thought that Taylor wouldn't be able pull off the role of Jacob, but I was quite surprised. he did quite well. I loved the fact that the wolves had those human expressions on their faces...or when Jacob as a wolf sighed...sort of remained me of my cat. : )

good review :)

I sat in the theatre with my friend, making fun of a lot of the things that happened. One scene which was meant to Alice's revealing vision of Bella turned into a vampire was so badly done that almost everyone laughed at it. It didn't look like Bella and Edward; it was Kristen and Robert awkwardly running through a set, trying to look 'dazzling'.

The wolves were really impressive though. I thought they were perfect.
