Ratatouille

Ratatouille Award-Winning director Brad Bird has recaptured the genius of animated film in this new feature length masterpiece Ratatouille. Ratatouille glows with outstanding visual effects from the works of Pixar animation and attains a heart-warming unthinkable story of a rat named Ramy and a 5-star gourmet restaurant in Paris.

Ramy is inspired by human nature and their discoveries of food and flavours. After observing the works of top chef Auguste Gusteau, Ramy develops a dream of becoming a cook. Despite the fact that he is viewed as ‘a pest’ in the kitchen, Ramy develops an unlikely relationship with garbage man Linguini, Auguste Gusteau’s son, who soon discovers Ramy’s unthinkable talent.

Together they begin an adventure of extraordinary events that ultimately flip the taste-buds of Paris but, Ramy is trapped between his dream of being a chef and his family. Ramy eventually learns, however, that all he really wants is to fulfill his dreams, and with this he succeeds in doing so.

The story of Ratatouille will jump from the screen and touch your heart. The talented voice overs of Lou Romano (Linguini) and Patton Olswat (Remy) inject a life-like personality into these two superb characters that adds a whole new concept of likeability to their personalities. I was pleasantly surprised by Ratatouille with its well directed story and radiant humour. It is utterly recommendable and is a winter must-see.
