I am relived that you mentioned the actress who played Alice because in all other reviews, i havent heard a thing about her. sureley, i was about to write one myself of this movie to just add in her character but luckily, i found your review (and i'm not the best at reviews myself). I am quite satisfied with your review and i do as much love the movie too as i've loved all his others Burton has worked on.

I expected nothing less than a perfect Alice review from you, Dru.
I think your feelings pretty much completely sum up mine, although I may have said a little more about Chess (but I'm a bit biased to him anyway xD).

I agree with the fact that Johnny's character was brought to life so much and actually given a full and whole character. It's one of the main reasons he is one of my favorite actors. I feel he always brings a sense of wholeness to the character he's playing.

And I also agree that the girl that played Alice was absolutely phenomenal for the part. I mean, I'm glad they picked someone who wasn't a very recognizable celebrity, you know? I think that if it would have been someone like Christina Richie or something that the movie wouldn't have had such a sense of wonder, even though I think she's a good actress. I feel like this girl really was innocent in certain ways: in the right ways.

    Great review! :D

Amazing review! I'm quite glad you mentioned the actress who played Alice, because it seems as though the other reviews on this movie didn't; almost every single review seemed to focus in on Johnny Depp as the Hatter. I'm certainly glad that your review didn't. :)
Tbqh, I came into the movie with low expectations, sure--I love Tim Burton, and all, but I thought it'd be too..Willy Wonka-ish. However, I was surprised. I loved the characters' developed backstories, the "mature" humor that sometimes goes unnoticed, and even The Cheshire Cat! Good, good movie.
