Alice In Wonderland - Worth The Wait?

Alice In Wonderland - Worth The Wait? Tim Burton: One of the weirdest directors of his time. His odd antics and interesting stunts make his movies even more delightful. His greatest accomplishment, The Nightmare Before Christmas, seems a bit normal compared to the other movies he's made. But almost every movie he's made has been a success. However, with the recent failure of his movie "9", people have been wondering if he has changed direction and begun going downhill.

Alice In Wonderland: One of Disney's most beloved and classic movies from 1951. The plot was simple and pointless, but it was altogether a fantastic movie. Many movies, TV series, books, and bands have tried to do the movie justice, but have just not been able to.

Put these two phenomenal things together and what do you get: a great film.

Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" was anticipated to be a great film. And it in fact was. With its stunning artwork, phenomenal characters, and interesting plot line, "Alice in Wonderland" turned out very good. However, picky as I am, there were some flaws.

First of all, the movie seemed to be lacking in characters. There were really only 3 upstanding "main" characters. Alice, the Hatter, and the Red Queen. Everyone else seemed to be "guest stars".

Second, the movie could've been great had they not tried to add the 3D in. The movie is brimming with live action and lots of color, but the 3D on top of that ruined it. The film was filmed with 2D cameras. My point is, if you want it to be a 3D movie, film with 3D cameras. Other than that, I found the movie interesting and odd, and I couldn't leave my seat until the end.

Rating: 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
