Were The World Mine

Were The World Mine Were the world yours, what would you do? That's the thought running through Timothy's mind.

Were the World Mine is about a senior, named Timothy, who goes to an all-boys school. The problem? He's gay, and has a crush on one of the most athletic, well-known, most cute boy on the Rugby team, Jonathon, who just happens to be straight.

Timothy's father left. His mother blames herself for him being gay, thinking she did something wrong.

Timothy's teammates, including the coach, all make slurs about Timothy, such as calling him explicit names and writing them on his locker.

But there's someone who has hope for Timothy: Ms. Tebbit. She is the English teacher in the school. As a graduating requirement, the seniors either have to write an essay, or star in the school's production of Shakespeare's classic play A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ms. Tebbit thinks Timothy would be perfect for the role of Puck, the mischievous faerie.

In the play, Puck is told by the king to make a flower with a special potion. When sprayed in the eyes by the flower's fluid, you are to fall in love with the first person you see. The king finds that his wife is cheating, and he tells Puck to send her to the forest and spray her in the eyes with the magic flower, then to leave her.

Timothy tries for the role of Puck, and succeeds with achieving it. While reading between the lines of the play, Timothy believes he can conjure up the potion for the same flower Puck used. The funny part? He does. That's when everything gets hectic.

Timothy accidentally sprays his best friend, Max, in the eyes when he pops in. Max falls in love with Timothy. Timothy then goes on to spray many more people, all who fall in love with the wrong person. Why? Timothy wants the rest of the town to take a walk in his shoes.

This movie is funny, cute, and has a few musical numbers to it. It has no rating, but has some strong language and sexual scenes between the same gender. It is an adorable movie, one I don't regret watching.
