True Grit: The Remake - Comments

My grandpa really likes westerns, so I went with him, thinking that it wouldn't be much; usually the critics are wrong.
But the movie was great! I loved it! I don't know about the last...oh, I don't know, five minutes, maybe, where the action just drops.
Other than that, I'd definitely recommend it!

I saw the original and thought it was okay, but I'd seen better John Wayne movies. I still have yet to seen this one and I've heard it go both ways. I think it will be great. Jeff Bridges is a fantastic actor as it is!

Apparently, the directors claim that this movie isn't a remake of the original, saying that everything in the movie comes directly from the book.

I'm undecided if i want to see it or not. In my house John Wayne is like a God, we've seen every one of his movies at least 10 times and i'm not sure if i'll like the remake. The original is one of my favorite John Wayne movies. I don't know if it will lead up to my expectations. And, i don't really like Jeff Bridges as an actor. i've seen a couple movies that he's in, and the movies were good but i just didn't like it. I might watch it just to compare, but i'm sure the orginal will be, by far, the better.

I really, really want to see this movie. (:
