I'm a contest judge, so you know!

This seems to not be so much as a review but a preview, since you have yet to see the movie. Nonetheless, it was well-written with only a few or less grammar mistakes and it did present the movie in a way that makes me want to see it, though I would be much more intrigued if, as I said, you had yet to see the movie. It seems as if you did a lot of research to see what the movie was about, but I would like to know more about who is in it and just general information about the movie. Of course, this may be difficult to find since the movie is not out yet!

    Overall, well done!

Maybe you could review it after you've seen it?

Having attended an advance screening, I can tell you this movie actually pleasantly surprised me. To be honest, I thought it was going to be terrible wherein the actors (plus director and producers) were trying to recapture the magic of musicals-turned-films like Chicago, the Producers, and the like, except with classics that we already know and love. It was, but it was pieced together much better than I anticipated.

The storyline was a little weak. Hough and Boneta's romance was probably the least enjoyable part of the script, but perhaps I feel that way because their characters were outperformed by the rest of the incredible actors. Russel and Baldwin STOLE THE SHOW in my opinion; those two on screen together, in that capacity, was just golden. And the talent of Cruise and Zeta-Jones was phenomenal. So in contrast to the rest of the cast, Hough and Boneta's performances left a lot to be desired. However, their singing was spot on. The songs were perfection, and the musical chemistry between everyone was the stuff musicians' dreams are made of.

This is truly a movie to simply watch to have fun. I don't know if it will be Oscar material, but it is certainly a "feel good" film. It's the kind that promotes sing-a-longs and dancing (Adam Shankman actually got his dance on a little in the theatre haha) and having a fantastic time with your friends and family, whether you're reliving past memories or just enjoying the awesome music.
