Juno

Juno Juno (Jason Reitman, 2007), is an offbeat indie film released in late 2007, early 2008, and is about Juno McGuff, a pregnant sixteen year-old, and her friend and family. "A comedy about growing up... and the bumps along the way."

Juno (Ellen Page) is a simple alternative girl in high school. One day, out of curiosity, she has sex with her best friend, Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera). From this, she falls pregnant, and starts discussing her options with her loved ones. Juno visits an abortion clinic, in hopes of getting a quick fix. Outside the clinic, she meets a classmate Su-Chin, who is protesting against abortion. Ignoring this fact, Juno has a quick conversation, but retires inside to see the doctor. She gets a form to fill out, but couldn't do it. As she is escaping the clinic, Su-Chin shouts "God thanks you for your miracle!"

Juno and her friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby) decide on adoption, giving the child to a nice, caring family after it is born. They look for ads in the local paper, "Penny Saver". Juno spots a nice family, and goes to talk to them. Deciding that Mark (Jason Bateman) and Vanessa Loring (Jennifer Garner) are acceptable parents, Juno agrees, and keeps them posted on the pregnancy. There are some funny, tragic and overall depressing accidents and experiences along the way, but Juno manages to become more of a women, than a girl.
