Review: The Bourne Legacy - Comments

Yeah I suck at CoD too! I suck a little less at Halo, so I like it more :D haha I like the idea of assassins creed but I rarely feel like I want to play it :P Still have the first two though haha

See, that's what's so weird about me. I love super action-y action movies, but I do like a bit of a story line with my vidoegames. And again, I'd probably like Halo and CoD a whole lot more if I didn't suck major ass at it!

Ahaa really? I love Halo. :P And I quite like assassins creed but I find it abit slow-paced for my liking haha :P I prefer shoot-em-up things really haha :P

I've always been more for hand-to-hand or swordfighting games. I could never get into CoD or Halo. I just kinda suck at shooter games! But gimme some Assassin's Creed and I am the happiest person alive!

Haha no, i'm exactly the same. Action films are the best. And as far as videogames are concerned, Halo is my fave. For some reason never got into CoD, despite everyone raving about it. But I like action with a story ;) haha

I'm kinda like a guy when it comes to movies and videogames. I'm always yelling things like "BLOW IT UP!!!" and "DESTROY HIM!!!" and "KILL THEM ALL!!!" Like I said, I'm kinda violent...

Ah yes, I agree! But I do think 'mindless violence' should be put into films with a little interesting story. I love action movies, but the Expendables was a little too pointless for my liking :P haha

  • A lot of action movies require deeper thinking nowadays... Don't get me wrong--I love movies that make you think, but sometimes mindless violence can be refreshing. I kinda miss how eighties action movies we're just that--action movies. That's one of the reasons I'm so looking forward to finally getting to see Expendables 2 in theaters! Action is all it is!

Yes exactly, I think if you were only watching for a good-old-action-film then you might have enjoyed it more, but maybe I was just having a stupid day when I saw it, and it confused me! And ahaha it's annoying cause I can't edit the review now because it's been posted, so his name as to stay as Rimmer! Woops :( :P

I get what you mean about some things not being well-explained. Some things were kinda vague. I think it follows it's predecessors in the fact that you have to pay close attention to the movie to understand what happened and what actions lead to what consequences. Most people view the Bourne movies as straight-up action, famous for their fight scenes and chase sequences. They don't realize that the movies actually have thought put into them and actually require thought to follow them all the way. And about the Jeremy Renner name thing, that's totally understandable! Everyone makes mistakes, especially if you're doing stuff on any Apple products with autocorrect, like I am!

Yeah I do agree with you, and I did really enjoy the film, I just felt that it had large sections that weren't explained as well as they could have been. And about the name thing, I am very sorry and have absolutely no idea why I called him Rimmer. I knew his name was Renner (I wrote it earlier in the review) but for some reason I just typed Rimmer and then missed it when I read back over. Very sorry, have no idea how/why I did that. :P

  • This is a fair review and I am yet to watch it. Ihave heard that a lot of people did not enjoy the movie like they enjoyed the first three, but Jeremy Renner is an amazing actor and it makes me want to watch the movie even more. Hope you know, you spelled his name wrong. Renner, not Rimmer

  • I have to disagree with you about Legacy. I have watched the others--I actually rewatched them the day before seeing Legacy--and I liked Legacy just as much as Identity, if not more. I liked the different plotline and how the new story was integrated into the old story, and while at first, I was skeptical of a Bourne movie without Matt Damon, I was very impressed. As for the chase scene, that's kind of a trademark Bourne movie thing. Oh, and his name is Jeremy RENNER, not Rimmer. I should know, seeing as I've developed an obsession for the man.

  • I have to say that I feel that I felt higher of the film than you seem to have done, but thinking this, I realise I agree with the points that you've made and I think the main reason of me enjoying, or even going to see the film was because I'm slightly obsessed with Renner and always thought very highly of him as an actor. I find that he's very underrated so was happy to see him finally in some main stream movies. (Which he has been in a couple this year) ~ So I suppose my veiws may be clouded somewhat ~ But over all, a fair reveiw.
