House at the End of the Street
House at the End of the Street is a new horror film that is sure to please.
Cast
Jennifer Lawrence stars as Elissa, a teenage girl with a passion for music and fixing people. Max Thieriot plays Ryan, the handsome, troubled boy next door. Elizabeth Shue plays Sarah, Ellisa’s hardworking mother.
Plot
House at the End of the Street follows Elissa and Sarah as they move into a new house, located in the middle of a national forest. As Elissa and Sarah adjust to living in their new home, they discover that the house next door is inhabited by Ryan, the troubled boy whose parents were murdered by his younger sister a few years before. Elissa befriends Ryan and takes it upon herself to defend him from the town’s ridicule, but Elissa soon learns that Ryan may be even more troubled than he seems.
Review
House at the End of the Street was an excellent thriller. It wasn’t as scary as the previews made it seem, but it did hold up in the action and suspense departments. Much of the movie was spent developing Elissa and Ryan’s relationship, but it was interesting enough to hold my attention. The movie was much better than I expected, and there were bits that just blew my mind. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of suspenseful thriller movies.
