Most horror movies aren't that good period, so it is great to keep an open mind when going into scary movies. Sinister was awesome in my opinion cause it actually made me jump unlike other horror movies I watch and it was fairly original and wasn't too boring like Paranormal Activity 1-3. Although, seeing Mr. Boogie in a pink shirt just took away from the scar factor. XD haha. I also agree with AlixTheCreature, it wouldn't make me jump as bad if it was on mute. They did a brilliant job with the sounds and music. So kudos to whoever was the composer for this movie. But I liked it enough to think about it endlessly in school and kind of hoping they make a second one.

I'm really into a good scare, and it did scare me a bit after I left the movies, since I thought it was a good idea to watch it at night, but by the time I got home, I wasn't so scared.
I do love how he has the police officers name on his phone, "Officer whats his name' or something like that. XD
I liked the movie, but I feel like if you would have put it on mute, it wouldn't have been scary or make you jump.

I saw this movie last night too! I was going to see Paranormal Activity 4 with friends but after we heard of its bad reviews, we figured we would check out Sinister. I'm not one for scary movies because most of them are stupid and end up being comical but DAMN this movie had me peeing in my pants. Not only was it scary, it was so utterly depressing. At one point I just couldn't watch the families dying anymore, it was just too much. I definitely suggest people see it if you're into something different though.

Well It just so happens that I saw Paranormal activity 4 and Sinister back to back today and and your right paranormal activity 4 was a big fail and sinister was a good come back from that carp show of a movie. To me the ending was really good and the parts with the murders were the best part but the big problem to me was was that the parts that weren't scary were really boring and the pagan deity (to me atleast) was not shown enough. But other than that it was a good movie not great but good.

I watched it a couple weeks ago and TOTALLY agreed with your review. I love scary movies, and this one was actually the best one I have seen recently. It was a bit predictable, but the ending was really surprising and unexpected. It was also really creepy... Anyways, thank you for the review. You did a great job! :)
