World War Z

"United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to destroy humanity itself. "

All other names in this movie are useless as really a two second cameo of Matthew Fox and Peter Capaldi are the only other people I recognized.

World War Z is the movie adaptation of the best selling novel by the same name - now I haven't read the book as of yet but from what I've heard it doesn't exactly match up to the movie. They had the opportunity to take a lot of great material from said books and insert them into the movie but instead just had Brad Pitt conveniently saved a lot.

The zombies themselves were terrifying - they were smart and they sprinted. If I had to pick a zombie apocalypse to be in, it would not be this one because everyone would be dead. Except of course, for Brad Pitt. Who conveniently survives everything. Starting the movie as a stay at home dad as the movie progresses he is rescued by a random Mexican family with no questions asked - and look at that he speaks Spanish and has an in with the government which conveniently saves his and his families life. But wait he also conveniently finds an RV with the keys left in the ignition as well as a loaded rifle in the closet of the RV, not to mention the fact that the sprinting zombies all seem to slow down whenever they're about to catch him.

In all honesty the movie was pretty good, the zombies were scary and the plot line was interesting. But the ending, again, seemed far too convenient and it seemed as though there was a much bigger story to tell there instead of what we got.
