Thumbelina
Thumbelina is an animated film that was made in 1994. As I was growing up, Thumbelina quickly became my favorite movie for many reasons, and I would watch it for hours on end until I had memorized all the words. This fantastic film was well animated for the time, although the visuals are outdated compared to the animated films of today.
The movie tells the story of a young girl, who is no bigger than a thumb. Her mother could not have a child of her own, so she wished as hard as she could. That wish was granted in the form of a seed, which she then planted, and the seed soon became Thumbelina.
Thumbelina lives happily with her mother until, one day, she is kidnapped by two horrid toads, who want her to marry their son. Thumbelina, however, wants nothing more than to go home, and her cries are soon heard by some friendly woodland creatures who free her. The film takes off from there, leading Thumbelina and its viewers on the tiny adventure of a lifetime.
This wonderful film is a childhood classic from the 90's, and it is not a film that should soon be forgotten. If you're looking for a cheerful and enjoyable children's movie, Thumbelina is a great one to try out.
