Saw

Saw How much blood would you shed to stay alive?

No, this is not a rhetorical nor hypothetical question. This gore, gruesome yet mysterious question has found its place under the Sun, on the poster of the movie called Saw. The title says little, right? It could be anything that you stumble upon in this weirdly perceived world. But if you bind the question of the above and the title, you get an insight into the movie's genre - horror intertwined with the breathtaking, shiver producing thrilling moments. Simple as that.

Director James Wan who happens to be a co-writer allied his writing knacks with Leigh Whannell and the harvest was a thrilling, unpredictable script.

The movie saw the daylight back in 2004 and spawned a series of 3 sequels since - Saw 2, Saw 3 and Saw 4. For all the Saw-licious lovers out there, 2 more sequels are somewhere within the walls of the Saw workshop - getting ready to surprise you once again. Actually, 2 more times.

The plot spins around a dying, psychotic yet intelligent vigilante, the Jigsaw Killer who kidnaps his victims and throws them mercilessly in life threatening situations - painstakingly made traps, wanting them to pay for their sins; to make them aware of their petty lives they kept taking for granted. Yet he craves to see how far they're willing to go, how blood they're willing to shed to stay alive.

This movie, as well as its sequels, starts off with self-questioning; a few questions pound down on your brain; leave you pondering: "Who are they? What are they doing in there? Why on Earth are they there?" The beauty of these movies lies within questions, mystery, confusion, suspense. At the end of each sequel, you're stuck with more questions than you had at the beginning. And the expression on your face is more puzzled than ever while the ventriloquist dummy is gawping right back at you.

The twists. They make all these parts stick out. They make them worth every sudden panic attack, every glitch in your brains, every skipped breath. If you're looking for a natural recipe to fulfill your veins with fear, suspense, irradic moments, the Saw movies are the cure.
