The Taking of Deborah Logan

The Taking of Deborah Logan is an independent horror movie that was released on October 21st, 2014 which tells the tale of a documentary crew following the life of a woman who suffers Alzheimer's for an upcoming film only to find that there is something much more sinister behind the case.

Plot

Set to create a documentary for Alzheimer's and the struggle behind just the disease, Mia, Gavin and Luis scouted a woman by the name of Deborah Logan who suffers Alzheimer's.

While the documentary crew continues to film their time with Deborah, the woman begins to exhibit very odd behaviors and actions that her personal physician claims are normal. Cameraman Luis - when playing back many of the tapes - realizes that the bulk of these situations defy normal explanations and make him assume that the situation at hand is a supernatural phenomenon.

As the film crew continues capturing parts of Deborah's soul withering away, secrets of her past as well as insidious like evils jeopardize not only her but the ones around her.

Overall

This was something I turned on to pass the time. While I have to say, the creep factor was through the roof mainly because Deborah Logan was a fragile, thin, older woman and the actress (Jill Lanson) did a good job in taking on the role of a possessed soul.

All in all, the movie was slow and not as interesting. The way it started off I think was choppy and it turned out to be like every other supernatural horror movie that's ever existed.

To be honest it did well as just background music for me. It's really not worth anyone's time.
