Suicide Squad - Comments

I really enjoyed the movie, unlike the critics; and I agree with you, it doesn't deserve all the hate that it's gotten. While I did think the beginning did drag on a little, it was necessary since not many people know who they are. A lot of people (like myself) only know about the Joker and Harley, which made the beginning important because we got a little insight onto who everyone is instead of just being thrown into the movie with zero idea who anyone is.

Personally, I loved the Joker. He added a nice little sub-plot to the movie, because I think without him, it would just be all fighting. I think it really did a good job in telling us about Harley and who she is as a person. Jared Leto was, I think, a good Joker. Not the best Joker, of course, but a good one. His Joker is a very different take from the past Joker's, and I liked it. I did wish he had a few more scenes.

Overall, I really liked the movie.

As did I, which was why I felt the need to write a review of my own. I've been reading so much negativity, people watching this movie entirely differently than what I believe they are supposed to and as such reading to much into it. I thought it was a very fun stepping stone for them to build upon, because lets face it, they are going to make a sequel and hopefully dive into these characters more and more until they are all fully fleshed out.

Thank you for this review! I knew going into the movie that it wasn't going to be like the comics too much or have the best character development, but it was still a good movie to sit through. I really enjoyed it.
