The Orphanage

The Orphanage Produced by Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth); The Orphanage is about about a woman, Laura (Belén Rueda), who moves back to an orphanage that she lived in when she was only a young girl, with her husband and adopted son. Trying to restore the old building, and reopen it for children that were born with various disorders, does her son go missing on the opening day of the orphanage.

Months go by, looking for their son, while mysterious things start happening; odd noises coming from behind the walls. Slowly, Laura uncovers tragic events of murders, that happened in the orphanage after she left, and is convinced that her childhood shelter is haunted. Laura and her husband try everything they can think of, and come to the conclusion to bring a medium to their haunted orphanage to figure out what happened to their son.

Now after seven months of their son missing, Laura's husband gives up all hope, and decides it's time for them to move. Refusing, Laura tells her husband to go ahead and give her sometime to herself.

But when she's left alone, and tries the only other thing she can think of, does she find out what truly happened to her son.

Although, the movie is in spanish, it is still a thrilling, horror, that will make you jump.
