Double Life Shows
I'll just start off this article by saying that yes I do like watching Disney Shows! They're fun to watch and I like some of the people who play the characters. But is Disney overdoing the whole topic. I mean, look at all their double life shows; That's So Raven, Phil of the Future, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, American Dragon: Jake Long, Kim Possible, and soon to be J.O.N.A.S. and Princess Protection Program. Sure their great at showing the troubles of people balancing two lives but how many teens/kids do you find that are:
- A psychic
- A rock star
- A Wizard
- A Dragon
- A Spy
- A Princess
- Someone from the future
What happened to shows like iCarly which are just about kids? We don't need people telling us the problems of people that we can never be. Well, the rock star is somewhat possible as well as a spy, but it is a very slim chance that I'll be turning into a dragon any time soon. Sure, we get that with shows like Hannah Montana and J.O.N.A.S. their trying to incorporate the lives of the stars in the show, but shouldn't they be trying to portray something a little closer to home?
I just wanted to put my opinion out so if you don't think any of this is true then okay. Just making a statement.
