Scrubs

Scrubs Scrubs has been on the air since 2001 and yet some people haven't even heard of it. Sure, there are plenty other hospital shows out there. You have your, ER, House, the more popular Grey's Anatomy, but did you ever stop to think, "does medicine have to be all serious?"

That's where Scrubs comes in. Creator Bill Lawrence (co-creator of Spin City), wanted to base his new show on the crazy mishaps, and bizarre lives of the doctors of Sacred Heart Hospital. The show follows the life of J.D (Zach Braff) and his friends' Turk (Donald Faison) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) experience through their first years as doctors.

Through the years they run into the "I couldn't care less about you" chief of medicine, Dr Kelso (Ken Jenkins), the ever so abrasive Dr. Cox (John McGinley), the almost jaded nurse Carla (Judy Reyes) and the lazy but always in the way Janitor (Niel Flynn).

Though the show is on its seventh and rumored to be final season, that doesn't mean it's not too late to start watching. It's really a hilarious show, that I believe should get a little more recognition. Also, I was really upset that it wasn't up for an Emmy nomination for "Best Comedy" this season.

Scrubs isn't all about being funny either. The show really deals with tough issues that go on in every day life. I'm not saying every single episode is extremely realistic, but it does deal with the reality of the world through the doctors' eyes.

So if you are or aren't a fan of Scrubs, you should still check out the premiere of the seventh season (Thursday October 25 at 9:30 PM Eastern time on NBC). I have a gut feeling that this will be the best season to date.
