Whale Wars' New Season The heart-stopping excitement and moving series of Whale Wars is back for another season on 'June 5th' This intense TV show on Animal Planet is about a dedicated team of Australian Federal Police that sails the sea on the Ship called the The Steve Irwin of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society to stop illegal whaling Japanese ships called the 'Nisshin Maru' from hunting and killing whales, also called 'Whaler'. They tape their travel to find and stop these whales from harming any whales while they're there. The members of the Sea Shepherd, track and follow the whaler to make sure they do not even attempt to hurt one.

Of course the Whaler claim they have rights to harvest a certain amount of whales for scientific research, but that never stops the Sea Shepherd crew from fighting for what's right for the whales.

When the Whalers don't react to a warning call asking them to leave back to there country, they result to throws stink bombs made of glass bottles filled with butyric acid at the Nisshin Maru whaling vessel. The Japanese respond by throwing flash bang devices at Sea Shepherds. And Captain Paul Watson was taped checking underneath his jacket after feeling a prick in his chest. Soon saying "I've been hit" Luckily, he was wearing his bullet-proof vest because a metal fragment is found inside of it.

This year, the Japanese whaler suffered a loss of their crew member, when he flipped and fell overboard. The body was never recovered. The Sea Shepherds offered to help and look for the Japanese worker but the Whaler claim there would do more interference then assistance.

This season is heard to have "More dangerous, drama-filled and controversial than ever, Whale Wars returns with a vengeance on Friday, June 5, at 9 PM e/p. Collisions at sea, harrowing nautical maneuvers, a near-death experience in an ice field and more aggressive Japanese defenses against the Sea Shepherds - including the use of Long Range Acoustical Devices (LRADs), sonic devices that cause intense pain and could cause permanent hearing damage - are just some of the highlights in store this season."
