The Korean drama, You're Beautiful, is one that endlessly entertained and captured the hearts of many television viewers. It stars great actors and musicians with Park Shin-hye, Jang Geun Suk, Lee Hong-ki, and Jung Yong-hwa as the four main cast members. Plot

Go Mi Nyu (Park Shin-hye) and Go Mi Nam are twins who have lived at an orphanage since the tragic passing of their father. Years later, Mi Nyu's brother, Mi Nam, skyrockets to fame after becoming a music idol, leaving her to decide to become a nun and to also change her name to Gemma. While performing chores, Mi Nyu/Gemma is approached by a strange man who claims to be her brother Mi Nam's agent, Ma Hoon Yi. After clearing up a hilarious misunderstanding, Gemma realizes that her brother is in a pinch when Hoon Yi explains that he was selected to be the newest addition to one of the most popular bands in Korea, A*N.JELL, but isn't in the country as he's off in the United States to fix up some plastic surgery that went wrong. Hoon Yi asks and pleads with Gemma to stand in for her brother during his absence, and while she is reluctant at first, she ultimately agrees when she believes she might be able to locate their birth mother.

As Gemma disguises herself as Mi Nam, she's blindsided by the changes in the world around her. A*N.JELL's leader, Hwang Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk), detests the latest addition to their band and tries to make him leave by putting him on the spot during their first meeting. The other two members, Kang Shin Woo (Jung Yong-hwa) and Jeremy (Lee Hong-ki), are indifferent to him, Shin Woo ultimately coming around to him rather quickly while Jeremy takes a bit longer to accept him.

Throughout her time as a part of the band, Mi Nam must hide her secret with the help of her manager, Hoon Yi, and Coordinator Wang, the stylist for A*N.JELL and the only other person to know about Gemma's real identity. Their secret is discovered by none other than Tae Kyung, who wants nothing more than to reveal the scandal, but is convinced otherwise by Mi Nam. Now the odd pair must hide her secret together from the rest of the band, their agency, and the rest of Korea, all the while developing feelings for one another.

Overall

This Korean drama has made me laugh and even made me cry. The amount of effort each cast member put into creating this show and the emotion that it seems to emit is amazing. The cast is spectacular, the songs they perform are even more so, and the overall quality is perfect. Each episode left me on the edge of my seat with anticipation for the next, the romance that came later on let my heart flutter, and the little hilarious jokes and situations left me gripping my sides from laughter. This is one show that you don't want to miss out on if you're a fan of anything Korean or not. It's a show that will entertain you throughout each passing minute and one that you'll always remember.
