Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is a romantic comedy anime that only consists of 13 episodes and is rated PG-13

This anime is about the dysfunctional relationship between a girl called Shizuku Mizutani, who has absolutely no interests in anything other than studying and often comes off as detached and uncaring, and a boy named Haru Yoshida, who sits beside Shizuku in class but never attends school.

The start of their unintentional relationship happens when Shizuku is bribed with delivering class hand-outs to Haru's home, where she meets Haru. To Shizuku's misfortune Haru immediately greets her as a friend, and ever since then he refuses to leave her alone.

From there the viewer watches Haru and Shizuku go through the different stages of growing and changing as individuals and as friends/lovers.

I really enjoyed this anime because right from the start we are introduced to the main characters and even though the series seems short we get to experience watching them develop and grow. It's not only centred around the two main characters and their blossoming love but it also focusing on the process of making friends and how it can truly be a difficult task to do.

This is a really great anime and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a good laugh!
