Fall in Love With Me

The Taiwanese drama, Fall in Love With Me (the Chinese title of the show literally translating into "fall in love with both sides of me"), is a show that captured my heart completely. It stars amazing actors that are perfect at conveying emotions without fail with Aaron Yan, Tia Li, and Beatrice Fang as a few of the leads. The drama aired on Taiwan Television (TTV) from April 6, 2014 to August 17 of the same year with 20 episodes to its name.

Plot

Lu Tian Xing (Aaron Yan) is a well-respected CEO of an advertisement company named Tian Ji. However, one day he realizes that he's lacking inspiration for the ads he creates, and decides that it is time to take a break from his job to find the creativity he feels he's missing. The COO of Tian Ji, Li Qi Xuan, tries to keep Tian Xing at the company to further their success, but after disguising himself in a new get-up that no one can recognize him in, Tian Xing leaves and begins his small vacation.

He soon comes across a small production team creating a commercial, and when there's a mix-up of identites, Tian Xing helps the team out. When the commercial shoot ends, they realize they had the wrong person, and Tian Xing sees one of the team members is Tao Le Si (Tia Li), a girl he had an unpleasant encounter with earlier that day. Le Si is suspicious of Tian Xing, who looks like the CEO of Tian Ji, but believes him when he reasures them that he is not and is someone by the name of Xiao Lu. Tian Xing then realizes that the company he's helping is OZ Advertising. It is a small, failing company of Tao Le Yuan, the man who inspired him to work in the advertising industry himself and who died in a tragic car accident ten years before.

Tian Xing is soon convinced that it is his duty to help OZ get back on its feet as he feels guilty for Le Yuan's untimely death. He continues to disguise himself as Xiao Lu, a kind and happy guy, which is a great contrast from his usual arrogant self as Tian Xing, and as time goes on, he finds himself falling for Tao Le Si, Le Yuan's little sister.

However, things get complicated when COO Li Qian Xuan attempts to bring Tian Xing back to the company and when Li Huan Huan, Quan Xuan's little sister who is infatuated with Tian Xing, tries to win his affections when his heart is already Le Si's.

Overall

This drama had a lot of great scenes in it that made me enjoy it greatly. It was different and I thought it was nice to see how everyone grew as a character. We see Tian Xing go from a somewhat cocky and arrogant CEO to an understanding and humble person. It was interesting to see the realtionship between Le Si and Tian Xing when he was disguised as Xiao Lu deepen and grow, and it was even more so when his identity was revealed. The series kept my attention, and while at times I felt as though there were a few slower moments, it wasn't enough to turn me off from it. Near the end, there were twists and turns in the story to keep me glued to my screen, and I never wanted it to end. However, when it did, I was pleased and left hugging my pillow as I cried tears of joy. Fall in Love With Me is a great drama that I recommend to anyone and everyone to watch!
